Rome's Trevi fountain at dawn...
And for those of you of a certain advanced age, "three coins in a fountain" might mean something.
The real feel temp as I was shooting out of my rented apartment window was 36°. It might be helpful to keep that in mind as you check the images.
Dawn had come only a few minutes before I started shooting. The sun had barely begun to shed light on the ediface.
Image number two we are pretty sure was a model in a wedding dress because of the many repetitions she went through.
Image number four shows the technique used to toss a coin backwards into the fountain. Apparently very little skill is involved.
The lady in the flower dress kept looking at the shots, apparently very difficult to satisfy.
The lady in the striped jersey must've been important, because she had a police escort…or maybe just fans.
The last image is to give a frame of reference. We returned to our apartment after lunch in the middle of the afternoon, and could once again barely get through the crowds.
When I visited Trevi fountain early in the morning, They had drain it to get the money out. Had to come back a few hours later to get the picture I wanted.
Beautiful shots!👍 when my wife and I were there in 2015, they were doing a bunch of work/restoration, and it DID NOT look like that at all. One of the few “bummer moments” of our trip. Thanks for the trip down memory lane, but with a restored fountain.

Women seem to be much more impervious to cold than men. Nice set.

Great people series, David.
