I agree with your assertion that there are many new features and technological advancements in mirrorless units.

I doubt they would do much for me. I have four older Nikon DSLR bodies and a cadre of kit and expensive glass as well. Over the years, I've noticed my captures have gotten better and better with time, independent of technology. With that in mind, I'll switch when tech is my limiting factor which I think may never be, only my eyes, my imagination and my vision will be.

Just ignore him, as I do.

This guy may or may not have a business in photography. I am not even sure. What I did learn is that his wife is better at it than he is, so is he venting his frustration here? Who knows.

Let him be a minor annoyance.

I got rid of my wife years ago. I dunno who you’re talking about.

Turn the page on your past and start your mirrorless digital future.

Here you are again. My original post was not directed to you ...why did you reply to me?? Go bother someone else. You're good at it.

It’s not so much who it’s directed at, it’s what it’s in response too. Your response made no sense, although that’s no surprise.

I’m sorry but I couldn’t decide where to edit the quote so it’s all there. I too generally share this well presented opinion. Today I used my D850 to take some photographs. My MFT stuff was also on the front seat. I knew what my vision of the photos were, but adjusted my exposure a few times to compensate for blowing out some highlights. I pushed the +/- button and took several exposures of the scene accordingly. I’ll judge them on my computer later.
Had I selected my EM-5 I could have reviewed my photos in real time and adjusted my exposure using a thumb dial.
The Oly MFTs work great, but sometimes using it feels like wearing someone else’s shoes, just not quite comfy,, still working on it. After all that ad nauseum use what makes you happy, that’s all.

Another secret is VOLUME...if you take enough photos, some of them are going to be good.

So does that apply to spouses? Marry and divorce enough of them and sooner or later you’ll find a keeper? Or do you just give up and settle for what you got?

I have vision issue (close up)

On model Ts the throttle was operated by hand and you shifted with your feet. No gear shift lever and no gas pedal. Kind of like a motorcycle, hand on the throttle and clutch a shift with your foot.

Nonsense!
Without the mirror the lens mount flange distance can be reduced permitting avoidance of retro-focus wide angle lenses. I have a wide angle lens (80 degree angle of view) for my mirrorless camera that has 0 distortion. Find a similar 80 degree angle of view lens for you DSLR with 0 distortion -- good luck on a fools errand.

The EVFs on my mirrorless cameras provide live-view exposure aids that aren't possible using an OVF. Those live-view exposure aids permit me to nail every exposure with total accuracy. No chimping, no second guessing the meter, no bracketing.

For both those reasons I will not go back to a DSLR.
Nonsense! br Without the mirror the lens mount fla... (show quote)

Exactly After moving to mirrorless, I have taken 50% less shots of the same thing trying to make sure the exposure was correct. Although some of that also comes from me just getting better as I learn this craft.

Is it a bird...is it a plane...it's SUPERFLY!

Awww shucks! You're still trying to hurt my feelings but again it was pretty weak. Haven't I told you before that you shouldn't get into a battle of wits when you're only half-armed?

You most likely did your Ex a favor.

You can't say I didn't warn you (read my signature line). I sincerely hope you get well.

Nice "attempt" at a humorous insult but you'll have to tell me, as I've been married for 53 years...to the same woman!

With the wrong camera, success is probably 99% luck. But with the mirrorless camera, it's 100% the photographer.

DSLR - Digital Single Lens Reflex

I take it to mean any digital non-pocket camera pre-mirrorless.

Someone here may ask? Why single lens reflex? Is there a double or triple lens? Yes Yashica has a double lens and so are cinematography camera systems.
