My wife gifted me a Garmin smart watch for Christmas, and must say I am quite enamored with it. I love wrist watches, and own eight different analog as well as digital ones that I rotate every day. Since getting this smart watch, my other ones feel neglected.

Place 2 watches on each wrist and ankle.

I feel undressed if I don't have a wrist watch and pocket knife. I actually wear my pocket knife on my belt and carry one in my pocket, each has its usefulness, one is a multi-tool and the other is a semi-multi tool. My watch is a citizen that has multi functions on and the current one can reset for DST automatically.

Yupper. Agree. My Citizen watch used to re-set automatically for dst changes twice a year; but, 10 years after I got it, Ihave to change it manually. Don’t know why. But, at least, I have figured out how.

I was having a romantic moment with wife. My Apple watch said "time to time to stand". I went back to my Timex.

A nasty intrusion. A friend has a watch that beeps when it's time for him to get up and move around. Super useful! 🤣

Wasn't it about 10 years ago when either the 'spring ahead' or 'fall behind' date was changed? That may be the issue that the watch was off schedule.... (Just a thought).

There are so many possibilities for electronics voices in movies. I've seen the Alexa voice used several times in comedies.

With the popularity of the smart watches made me wish I can afford and old mechanical watch.

My first reaction. Orwell was pretty close. Not for me, thanks. It’s enough to know my car knows where I am.

When I was a kid, a friend and I devised a car game. I would close my eyes, and he would drive for a certain amount of time. When he stopped, I would have to find my way home. This was when gas was $0.25/gallon.

There was a variation of that game, but we never played it. The game would be played at night. When he stopped the car, he would push me out, and I would have to find my way home. 🤣

According to my smart watch my BP, pulse, and O2 indicate I’m healthy as a horse! My doc disagrees.
