Gull Reflects Belfair State Park 3-16-2024

The tide was going out; this little pool offered something's to eat so, this Short-billed Gull (I think) took advantage. The pool was dead calm. The pool was empty 15 minutes after these images were made.
Nice mid-March day-70F while we were at the park. Very few birds evident. So I said to myself "Self, why not walk over to the little pool and check things out."
Fun and interesting to watch this bird do its thing. I believe this is a non-breeding adult.

Great reflections. I think the bird thinks that is a good looking bird in the water.

Not always. Mew Gull used to be called Short-billed Gull. It very similar to a Ring-billed Gull but with a noticeable shorter unmarked bill.

Using Merlin and Bird.ID it appears to be a Short-billed Gull.
