I had tried Bay photo but did not like their price for shipping.
I tried Amazon and Nations with the same JPG as a test. I asked for 8x10 with no correction, etc. I used my calibrated BenQ Monitor but no printer profile.
The Amazon print was easily the worst I've ever seen and totally bad. Cheap and fast but no good. Bad colors, way too light, etc.
The Nations print was much more reasonably priced for shipping and about the same as the others for the print. The packaging was excellent. The Fuji Pearl paper is my favorite. The print was excellent. FWIW, I will use them again.
Just because someone might ask: The picture was a "grab" shot with the rented 𝜶6700 using animal eye focus setting. The lens was the Sony FE 70-200 G (F4)

There's an old saying in project management: "Cheap, Fast, Good." Pick any two."

The same saying is used in the software development field.
I've used Nations Photo Lab with superb results. I also use CG Pro Prints, if anyone is searching. I had them make a metal print of a photo my daughter liked, as a Christmas present. It hangs in a conspicuous place in her home.
Add Printique to your considerations. They used to be part of Adorama under the name AdoramaPix.

I use a Local (150 mile round trip) lab, they are reasonable and shipping cost about the same as my fuel, so if I'm in a hurry I send the file and then pick up the print. My prints have been in 16x20 or 16x24 range
I have used Nations several times and have always been satisfied. One order came bent/creased by the post office. I called Nations and they rush-ordered a replacement at no charge--came in two days.
Try Black River Imaging. It's associated with Bay Photo, but shipping is free on orders over $35.00

Your "grab" shot looks very good. I used Nations Labs for some enlarged prints a couple years ago and was impressed with their prices, turn around time and quality. I have recommended them to others several times.

You get what you pay for. Do you want a good print or cheap shipping? Try WHCC (you'll need an account) as I use them and find their shipping reasonable and their work awesome. Naturally, what you might think is a fair shipping cost might not be the same as mine. As a business owner, who ships to clients several times a week, I am well aware of the ever rising cost of shipping. Best of luck.

Yes, you get what you pay for. Sometimes you pay more for the same thing when you buy it from a different source. I get many staple items at WalMart which are identical to those at Publix.
The shipping costs whatever it costs the sender. What the sender then charges me is not necessarily a pure pass-through. For equal printing quality and value but significantly more reasonable shipping charges, I will go with the better overall value. This is especially true when I have a small volume of printing which thus affects the part of the total price attributable to shipping.
I find Nations to be every bit as good as Bay. If there is a difference, I don't see it. Others may disagree.
I'm not sure, but I think I used White House (WHCC) in 2017 or 2018. I don't recall anything either better or worse than my current favorite.
