Dollar General, they are all over the country, since Covid there no longer is such a thing as a dollar store.

So here is the local ad for ingles, a store that I find better priced than Publix, you might note that the regular price for a loaf of bread is $4.67

Why do you folks run in circles trying to deny what clearly we are are dealing with everyday?

Why do you feel the need to "mansplain" Dollar General to someone in TN where they are planted at nearly every intersection? Superiority, much?

Why can't you understand the Laws of supply and demand? Read the post about bread pricing in particular.

Just clarifying your misleading statement.

Ain't reality a bitch! When things aren't going your way, don't blame yourself, blame someone else!

Joe seems to think that works for him...

None are so blind as those who refuse to see!

Yup, Biden himself created this mess at the border and now he wants to blame the Republicans.

OK Denny, $3.87 big difference! Not all of us live in the back woods of MO.

Let’s see in town we have Walmart. Kroegers, price chopper, Aldi and one of the best engineering colleges in America .

In letter words you have no clue what you’re talking about other than your desire to insult others like a school yard juvenile. You’re moving closer and closer to Dennis mentality .

That was a SOTU that will be recalled for years to come. Biden smacked down and silenced the Right and called them to join the American Dream. He made Trump look like the idiot that he always has been with aplomb!
Hell even Mike Johnson was nodding along with Biden's points and accomplishments!!! Seeing James Lankford mouthing his approval and nodding was particularly pleasing..... And Biden made Moldy Margerie look like the clown she was dressed like last night. Was she drunk? OMG she made her constituents look like the most ignorant people on Earth for electing a slob like her to the House to represent them! That must suck to wake up to realize what she made them look like this morning!
It's time to send Dystopian Donald to the clink and let's get on with Making America Great the right way! Joe stomped a mudhole and walked it dry last evening!!! God Bless America Baby!!!!

First, Joe does not use his own words (as long as he doesn't forget to read the teleprompter), but those of his puppeteers. Those words are based on what they think gullible Americans want to hear. They have no basis in the truth and his promises are as likely to come true as the pony I thought I was promised for Christmas some 70 odd years ago. Still waiting for that pony and for one of Joe's promises to come true.

The one truthful thing that Joe said was that America is in a horrible mess. He's right about that. Millions of illegal immigrant wandering the streets, violent crime so rampant that one major city has had to resort to their Governor calling up the state's National Guard to patrol the subways, yearly budgets running out of money well before the end of the fiscal year, elderly people often having to decide whether to eat or buy their medicine. Our country is on the verge of qualifying as a third world entity. Joe's tenure, thus far, is a fiasco and no reason to hope it will improve.

My wife, who is much more logical than I, said the way she decides on whether to vote for an incumbent is to ask herself, "has my life been better or worse since he or she took office?" Has your life been better since the Biden cartel came into power? Mine hasn't.

Biden performed well and convincingly demonstrated his open tent policy by inviting Haley voters to join us in preserving a Constitutional Democracy, unlike his predecessor.

Do you think he or his puppeteers really expected an affirmative reply to that, or was it just another grandiose, but empty gesture? Of course, he would love to have votes not only added to his cache, but to take them from The Donald would make them doubly sweet.

A Dollar General that has convenience store pricing just like the ones near the major intersections far away from the main grocery store.

Bread is one of the items that has sticky inflation - hard to move the price downwards, but I find that $2.00 can get me a plain white loaf at Aldi, Food Lion, Food City and Ingles.

So, other than as a convenience fee, there's no reaso for $4.00 1lb loaf of plain bread.

Yeah, $2 can get you a loaf of any generic brand even in a DG, but you won't get a major bakery product for that price. Personally I don't often buy generic bread I don't find it to be of the same quality.
