My previous topic questions brought out software suggestions that included Capture NX D. Going to Nikon's web site to download, they discussed Capture, however the link to do so downloaded Nikon Studio. That apparently over wrote Nikon NX so now i have Studio, not Capture NX. Is this latest update and name change or ???

Yes it's the new name for the software. They did make quite a lot of changes though. Enough to make me run into problem. They started out as View NX. The name changed over the years. When I did the batch conversion it applied all the in camera settings to the JPEG and thus the JPEG would look like as if you shot JPEG to begin with. So I think the software is best suited for your purpose.
