I was a private pilot in Piper Cherokee about 46 years ago. Forgotten much, but remember some. As I recall, when doing a cross wind landing, you come in on final with the plane aimed and angled towards the wind so the plane is aligned with the runway. Then at the last moment before touchdown, you'd straighten the plane to the runway. Is this still the correct procedure?
Right. There are lots of videos of the big airliners landing like that.
