Well done.

Thanks for looking in Karin. This is what you get when you have a lot of time, a mirror with dark background, and some fun stuff to put on it. Glad you liked it.

The following still lifes are arrangements of items from my days as a chemist. The first four images are arrangements of brass weights that were pleasant to my eye. The last two are arrangements of volumetric flasks and a pycnometer which chemists use. The two volumetric flasks each are designed to hold exactly 1 milliliter of a fluid. The most commonlv-used volumetric flasks range in capacity form 25-ml to 2000-ml. These are unusual because of their very small volume.

The unusual looking flask with a thermometer sticking out the top with a little covered side arm is a pycnometer use to measure the specific gravity (density) of fluids.

Not exactly sure of when it was purchased. I was born in 1941 and I I know my bedroom in the house where I was born was a chemistry lab of his. for some yrs. I would guess mid 30's maybe. The book of chemistry and physics was his from back then which I still have on display in our home.My brother has his scale and weights from back then also.

A microscope like yours, nearly a hundred years old is worth some bucks these days. Mine looked like yours 20 years ago when I put it in its' case and put it in the attic. Took it out about a year ago when I moved and this is what it looked like. Sigh....
