Shot this image in 2022. In July of 2023 I saw competition in th UK about moon images. With my luck the competition was over but they had a website in the article to send your photos for them to look at. I sent this one on Wednesday night without thought of anything happening just for them to look at. On Saturday morning there was a message from the Royal Museums Greenwick, London. They wanted to know if they could add the photo to their archives. I gave my permission and now have a photo there in the archives.

Ya, Sure! Many, many moons ago, while in the Navy, we had a full eclipse of the moon while crossing the Pacific. It was beautiful. And the best place to see it was up on the boat deck where it was really dark and where many brought out their cameras with flashes. Flashes firing like crazy. I wonder just how many of them got a keeper???

That would be one hell of a strobe or LED light to reach the moon.

And make it all the back again!!! That's roughly a 500,000 mile round trip. And then the firing of the flash aprox. 3 seconds before the shutter activates.

A lot you know about lighting !!!! You describe an on-camera bomb. The pic is obviously side lighted. The bomb is clearly about 1 AU away, off to one side where it wont melt the camera.
