Next year the British Goverment are allowing Gas &Electricity company’s to charge every household in the Uk £16 to cover the debt of non payment by people who have not paid their utility bills, surely it’s the responsibility of the utility co.to recoupe the debt not pass it on to the rest of the country, they are making millions of pounds a year let them take it out of their profit.

Interesting. There must be an interesting story as to how they came up with that idea.

They know most people will be unhappy, but will just accept it as "one of those things". Government thinking at its most blatant!

It was probably the idea of someone wearing a green eyeshade and sleeve garters.

Beats me. Can't they adopt idea(ls) from another party?
Maybe some are converting.
Sorry, I don't follow their governing practices.

At the risk of this heading towards the attic the USA has the most bizarre system of government and voting of anything I have seen. You guys have no right to criticize another system of government when yours is so bad (leaving aside a few communist types). Although I too would like to see their rationalisation for a decision like this.

That’s rich. Telling us we shouldn’t criticize another countries government while you criticize ours. From another country.

Oh, I agree! And I live here.
But it's the people IN government, not the actual form of government....
It worked well for years, until people went bonkers.
So, how many countries are laughing at us.

Best form of defence is attack. Usually an acknowledgement that you are right but I am not willing to concede anything so I will attack.

I think if a few things happen this year in your voting system that the USA will lose so much standing in the International community that you will lose 20 years of effort and it will take that long to restore. However if common sense takes over and things go a different direction it should only take you about 5 years to get back to where you were. Personally I am currently wondering whether your water supplies have been tampered with and it has affected your ability to think. Sorry forgot to answer your question - not sure but about 100 I would guess, not so much laughing but with a high degree of sadness. There are 4 of them (and probably a few hangers on as well) who are very happy with the way things are going.
