24-70 vs 24-105

I have Nikkor 24-70 f2.8, Canon EF 24-70 f2.8 and EF 24-105 F4 and Sony 24-205 f4. I found out I used more the 24-105 than the 24-70 in most of my photography. The 24-105 has a longer range and can be used in low light with my R6 and A7C.

I know for sure which lens he should choose, and I dont need any more info at all. I dont need to know what sort of photography he intends to do.
Its "very UHH" that you (and others) claim to need such info *every time* this (~monthly) question arises.

I know what I "primarily am interested in shooting", but that differs on the conditions and how I feel at the time.
I DO know I prefer the larger range.
And am not absorbed by the technical details and numbers.

DOF makes a tremendous influence on a shot...focal length...much less.
The end result is more affected by DOF than focal length.
You can fix focal length...DOF...if it's not there...it's not there.

Correct.
It is very important to some, and in some instances.
But I still value the 24-105 over the 24-70.

I get the same DoF from a lighter lens when Im using the f/4.0. Ill only bring a 2.8 If Im reeeeeally sure Ill need it and equally sure a 35/2.0 wont reach my subject.
f/2.8 even LOOKS ridiculous (yet I have two). My f/4.0 is SAME size with TWICE the reach.
