Technically, isn't this preprocessing?

So are you saying that postprocessing is removing the makeup?

Academic research is increasingly anthropomorphising technology – a trend that could mislead the public about how powerful artificial intelligence and other cutting-edge developments really are.
Myra Cheng and her colleagues at Stanford University, California, analysed the content of more than 655,000 academic publications released between May 2007 and September 2023, along with the headlines of approximately 14,000 news articles citing some of those papers. Not me. Now that my husband has passed away, I still want to look the best I can at all times and now, just because it makes me feel better about myself. I really don't want to look dirty, grungy, sloppy even if I am just staying at home all day. Every morning when I get up, I make my bed and then put on my make-up and fix my hair, just for me. Old habits are easy to keep.

I think that’s great. That is a generational approach sadly lacking today. Now that we are observing the selfie generation I believe we’ve crossed the Rubicon regarding reasons people do what they do. It would make a fascinating social psychology research project.

I believe all women should look good by wearing nice clothing and some makeup but not too much.i once went to install a phone for a lady probably in her mid 20s about 35 years ago.i knocked on her door about 8:30 in the morning and she came to the door in a robe .I identified myself and told her I would be back in a little bit.i came back about 30 minutes later and a gorgeous lady came to the door so I told her to tell the other lady to check her phone to see if it worked.she immediately asked ," what other lady? That's when I realized this was the same lady but she was now wearing a nice dress and had all her makeup and not a hair out of place.i immediately told her I was also working down the street with another lady's telephone service and could she please check her phone.she did and it worked.she picks up her purse and proceded to get in her car.i got in my truck and drove ahead of her down the blocking parked as if I was working there too.as soon as she got to the corner and turn I proceeded to my next job. That was a close one.

NO, that's called "trying to make yourself look as good as possible for your husband." I may be the only one who thinks so but I think it's what all women should do. Most of the women in my town go out with no make up, sloppy clothing and hair stringing down, not brushed or combed, sometimes dirty looking and don't seem to care.

Sorry. I just can't stand it.

Back to AI....it's not for me. I know of 3 people now who use AI to make still life pictures and say they "painted" them.

I'm afraid it's a bit of a runaway train and is going to be impossible to stop it. Like much happening across this country, and the world for that matter, life is never going to return to a what you see is what you get existence - and to my humble opinion that is not a good thing.

Extreme AI can be easily recognized. It's the subtle modifications that are worrisome.
