Manipulating an image...? My Better Half spends time before the mirror applying her makeup each time we go somewhere. Could this be considered "Post Processing?" 😁

NO, that's called "trying to make yourself look as good as possible for your husband." I may be the only one who thinks so but I think it's what all women should do. Most of the women in my town go out with no make up, sloppy clothing and hair stringing down, not brushed or combed, sometimes dirty looking and don't seem to care.

Sorry. I just can't stand it.

Back to AI....it's not for me. I know of 3 people now who use AI to make still life pictures and say they "painted" them.

Obviously, all those yoga poses are AI conceived, the human body just does not bend into those positions without excruciating pain and permanent disfigurement. Not to mention that with many the body is disfigured prior to even trying to attain the pose.

It is amazing that "common sense" is not that "common." Logic is also lacking in the majority of the world's population.

My concerns are with militarized AI. Also, social media AI. Common sense breaks down on social media. Just read about the conspiracies around Taylor Swift, or the idiots that believe that JFK jr is still alive, or…
Common sense is in short supply globally. It’s probably the pandemic that caused the shortfall. Any time now, China will restart up their common sense factories. We can expect new shipments by the fall at the latest. Just in time for the ramp up to the elections.

Haha, not that people will have enough time to figure out how to use it by then...

Don’t worry. The Chinese will have included instructions (in Russian). And you know we can trust the Chinese

AI has been around a lot longer than just a few years ago. I was writing AI code more than a decade ago in for business. It was an awesome tool and we read and process a billion records depending on the problem that needed to be solved including joining to other data files in less than 5 minutes. Where AI started getting a bad name is with toolkits like GPT-4. It allows for nefarious individuals and businesses to scam millions of people. I really fear deepfakes in politics. Using AI to build political ad's to get people to believe a candidate said something when they never did.

Most med don’t care that much. Women do makeup and cloths for/because of other women.

Technically, isn't this preprocessing?
