The delusion lies with the trump cult which believes that trump couldn't possibly change the United States from a democratic republic to an Autrocacy or a Dictatorship.

He tried to do that between noon on January 20, 2017, and noon on January 20, 2021. We, the United States, were fortunate to have a few individuals in the trump administration who chose loyalty to our country over loyalty to trump.

trump learned that in order to get his way, he's going to need to put people into his next administration who'll pledge loyalty to trump over loyalty to our country.

Remember that trump used "acting" in place of Senate confirmed individuals a lot the further into his term of office he got, to avoid Senate scrutiny of his choices ro run departments.

That Time Joe Biden Lied About His Academic Credentials

The presidential candidate bragged about graduating in the top half of his class at law school. He was 76th in a class of 85. 89% of his class scored better than he did.

A commenter at the wonderful blog Lawyers, Guns, and Money dug up this C-SPAN video of Joe Biden lying about his academic credentials in 1987.

He later apologized for misrepresenting his record. Here’s the New York Times report published soon after the incident.

In his statement today, Mr. Biden, who attended the Syracuse College of Law and graduated 76th in a class of 85, acknowledged: “I did not graduate in the top half of my class at law school and my recollection of this was inacurate.”

As for receiving three degrees, Mr. Biden said: “I graduated from the University of Delaware with a double major in history and political science. My reference to degrees at the Claremont event was intended to refer to these majors – I said ‘three’ and should have said ‘two.'” Mr. Biden received a single B.A. in history and political science.

”With regard to my being the outstanding student in the political science department,” the statement went on. “My name was put up for that award by David Ingersoll, who is still at the University of Delaware.”

In the Sunday interview, Mr. Biden said of his claim that he went to school on full academic scholarship: ”My recollection is – and I’d have to confirm this – but I don’t recall paying any money to go to law school.” Newsweek said Mr. Biden had gone to Syracuse ”on half scholarship based on financial need.”

In his statement today, Mr. Biden did not directly dispute this, but said he received a scholarship from the Syracuse University College of Law “based in part on academics” as well as a grant from the Higher Education Scholarship Fund of the state of Delaware. He said the law school “arranged for my first year’s room and board by placing me as an assitant resident adviser in the undergraduate school.”

As for the moot court competition, Mr. Biden said he had won such a competition, with a partner, in Kingston, Ontario, on Dec. 12, 1967.

There is also a very weird part of the video where Biden seems to say that Martin Luther King, Jr. and the women’s suffrage movement lacked policy ideas.

Sorry, you lost me at the statement he lowered costs for families. Inflation under President Biden is 16% exceeded only by President Carter at 17%. Once you state such a whopper of a lie you loose all credibility. The majority of the jobs created are govt jobs. Marijuana is still a level I narcotic in federal statutes. Three strikes you are out. As to your accusation that President is a convicted rapist you’ll have to show me the evidence. The good thing is that with historically low approval rates by Democrats and his obvious mental challenges the work to eliminate him as the democrat candidate. The bad news is that Vice President would be the traditional choice and she brings exactly 0 to the table.

So old Joe has lost a step or two over the years and he makes some gaffes, which he has always been prone to, but all reports say he remains focused, engaged and in command on the vital issues that occupy the president. Hell, I even forget what I came from the kitchen to get from the the pantry. Experience counts. Biden has restored the tradition of a capable team running the White House, a tradition trampled Trump's deeply flawed scheme to run a one man show.
Like Ronald Reagan, Lyndon Johnson and Franklin Roosevelt, Biden's deft management has made him, arguably the most productive president since LBJ in the early months of his administration. As they say, he has forgotten more than his presumed Republican rival will ever know.

I understand that one of the sections on this photo site is the attic. It is for conversations too rancorous for General Chit Chat. How would we even know it exists but for the photographic nature of the site. It matters not, just an observation. As to President Biden’s fitness for office he would assuage the populace if he’d take a cognitive test along with his next physical. It is one of the components annual physical required by Medicare. He would be well served by releasing the transcript or video transcript from his conversation with the attorney that conducted the interview. Saying he couldn’t be convicted based on his faulty memory and recall is very damning. Or he could exhibit his mental prowess by debating President Trump. Easy peasy.
