And why would I fear for my life little one? Is there something you are going to do to me I should be afraid of; maybe scratch my eyes out when you fly into a rage. Congratulations on pointing out the anti police attitude of you Democratic Socialists as you continue your incessant war on America by trying to create more division among We the People. It shows Bigly.

I don’t like beer. Nor wine or spirits. Alcohol makes little guys bigger and better dancers. It makes shy women gregarious. It also kills people. Kills them through cirrhosis, heart disease and other physical maladies. It kills people who intentionally drive cars while intoxicated and the victims of that choice by the 10s of thousands each year. When used in moderation it is a “social lubricant” making people interact more easily and reduces inhibitions to interactions like dating or relieves the stress of a long day at work. Excessive use may lead to anti social behavior, family problems and has even been cited as a factor in suicides. Because of this I don’t consume alcohol. Because of this I don’t buy booze. I don’t try to moralize about it. I just don’t buy it. I don’t demand other people who drink responsibility quit drinking. I support programs for education and rehabilitation but know that you can lead a horse to water….. As a student of history I know that an outright prohibition is a really, really stupid idea. It lead to increases in organized crime and encouraged lawless behavior. If alcohol is illegal only criminals possess alcohol. So given the fact I don’t like it I don’t buy it. Problem solved.

Yeah but what about the random drunk gun owners, only too keen to semi-auto folks for no good reason?

What about the random drunk who hit a school bus? Not sure what the second part of the sentence means.

You do realize that cartoon is from France, don't you? Also the guys with the guns and shooting are cops.

And in France to buy a gun you have to belong to a "sports" club for a period of time and obtain a permit, semi-auto arms require a special permit with a deeper background check.

[i]” ‘It's the semi-autos stupid!’ Tight control of who qualifies to legally own semi-auto firepower is a common sense first step. That leaves plenty of awesome weapons for ... ‘bagging bad guys with guns' and no one's 2nd gets stepped on.

"Guns are INHERENTLY SAFE."

Your NRA dogma is a stale joke. Guns are inherently fraught.
Yet you (and others) continually reject the DATA which indicates precisely the following facts:

A. Guns ARE inherently safe. That means BY THEMSELVES guns are not harmful.
(This is obviously factual. Examples would be guns in museums - none have ‘self-actuated’ and discharged — killing or harming ANYONE).

B. The problems exist with THE PERSONS UTILIZING GUNS. Criminals. Gang members. Malcontents. Druggies. Foreign nationals engaged in criminal activities. All the nefarious dregs of society.
NOT law-following citizens. (And, I add: NOT NRA members).

C. According to records (FBI, Police reports, Prosecution records and more) NRA members, Concealed Carry and Open Carry individuals have been proven to be among the MOST law-abiding citizens.

I realize the FACTS may not agree with some persons ‘beliefs’, yet “Facts is Facts” and all the wailing and screaming WILL NOT alter reality!

It is about time people face-up to reality and accept certain basic truths and realities:
The way to control gun-violence is to CONTROL CRIMINALS.

And how to do that?

1. Boost law enforcement capabilities. Stop or reverse the “defunding of police” efforts. Promote hiring and retention of officers and support-staff.

2. Promote just-punishment (prosecution and incarceration) by Attorneys general and prosecutors.

3. Demand representatives and congress-persons, as well as District Attorneys, prosecutors, and judges, actually punish and incarcerate criminals.

4. Require (via voting) lawmakers to focus on: a). Reducing crime, b). Increasing punishments for repeat-offenders or those with extensive criminal histories. (Including the ability to regards previous arrests/incarcerations — including juvenile data).

Bien sûr, it's about 'new citizen' Obama back on the streets after his administrations.
Similar laws and restrictions in Australia. All legal gun owners must belong to a 'shooters club'.
This is Browns Plains, about 20 min. from me. Got your pawn shop, your guns and your dildos at one convenient location. Rudy Giuliani, eat your Four Seasons/dildo-store-press-conference-heart out.

The problem IS NOT with weapons (rifles, pistols and shotguns) but with the PEOPLE who misuse the devices.

Guns are INHERENTLY SAFE...

We need to control the PEOPLE more-so than the GUNS.

(*)Barring extreme conditions, like excessive heat (fire) or extreme-shock (long drop) which might cause a discharge.
Years ago I worked part time for a friend that owned 3 gun/police gear shops. Well one day someone came in and starting talking about an incident in the news and how just having a gun around you could get shot. A kid took a revolver to school in his backpack and while reaching into the bag for a book he dropped it on the floor and the gun went off. -Well, that was what he said, and the news reported it that way.
Our used inventory happened to include a gun of the same model that was in such bad shape it was going to our gunsmith to tear apart for parts to repair other guns.
We just happened to have some blanks/primer only, no powder in the right caliber. There was also one of the local cops in to pick up an order. So my friend put in one blank and two of us and the cop proceeded to play catch, drop it every way we could think of, played kick ball etc. etc. for about 3-5 minutes. No POP! From the primer.
Then my friend pointed it at the ceiling and pulled the trigger = POP! So, the kid had to have grabbed the gun and pulled the trigger, accident or deliberate, he pulled the trigger.

The guy just said Oh! And walked out shaking his head and muttering about "That is what the news said happened."

And of course there are experts who can fire a revolver, pump or lever action faster than some semi-autos can cycle. In the case of revolvers you can reload with a speed loader just a fraction of a second slower than with a semi-auto and magazine.

I just remembered, once we did get a single action revolver to fire a blank by being dropped, it was an old beater with worn parts, including the sear. We dropped it so it landed on the hammer, which was cocked!!! The tip of the badly worn sear actually broke off and the hammer fell=pop goes the blank. We replaced the broken sear with a good one and tried again but after several tries of no pop we stopped because we had customers to wait on.

Fire will cook off ammunition, but unless contain in a chamber the rounds burst like a large firecracker and pieces of the case and the bullet fly a few yards with low velocity. They bounce off things or fall to the ground in a few yards.

We can’t agree because we think and feel differently. Forcing your will on others because of your uneasiness with an inanimate object is incomparable with my perception reason and rational discourse. I don’t know you but would probably not associate with younot based upon this one issue, but because it is indicative of a life view that is dramatically different than my own. That isn’t meant to denigrate you, I respect your right to have a different opinion, not so keen on your compulsion to force it on others. As I sit overlooking the Hawaiian Pacific Ocean from the lanai I sincerely hope your day is as terrific as mine.

It's pretty good here as well. February has been humid but VERY livable temps, low 30s by day and low 20s by night. (85f and 65f)

Since you're in Polynesia ... this is down the road from the other pic. I'm pretty sure they sell to everyone.

Given your weather report are you in AU or NZ. The moniker could indicate a fisherman in Texas or a guitar player with a Fender guitar.
