That's a shame. Too many farms and barns are going by the wayside. But, I thought maybe you were going to show us a mint '66 Mustang you found.

It's their property and there isn't anything unique or historic about it, so . . . .
I am not sure they are going to raze it; I am speculating based on other activity there.

I was being facetious there, John. You just hate to see some of the old stuff get torn down. You may remember a post I made a while back wherein I posted a color and a B&W version of a barn ...one with a serious lean to it...and I asked the crowd which one they preferred. Someone bought the property and tore it all down. Understandable, but there's another peek into the past that's gone for good.

This time the folks who bought this place are farmers, and they are clearing out some brush and trees in order to make more farmland.

Don't know what would take more effort, tear down and rebuild or to just clean up and repair. They do have that can of Fresh Look in there to give the clean up a try.

Yeah, I am not sure of the plans. There is a house there, and if the new owners decide to fix it up and rent it, the barn will probably stay. If not, . . . .

So glad to hear that. We’ve lost a lot of farm land here in Lancaster County. >i< Doc

Us, too. Sad. Someday developers will understand, hopefully, that farmland is something that no-one can make more of.

Interesting shot, John! I see some familiar looking stuff on those old shelves. It has character.
