That was such a great looking car...
I think the convertible was much nicer looking than the coupe.
Kim, great photo. Love the old XKEs! Many years ago, I owned a 1967 air cooled Porsche 911. They both had six cylinder engines, but the Jags was more than twice the displacement of my car. But I foolishly challenged him to a little race, and he blew my doors off. Oh well, live and learn. Later on, I had a 1969 Corvette. Much more power, but the Porsche still handled better.

If you like how and older porsche performs, find a 2006 Carrera S with a GT3 throttle body, 6 speed mannual transmission and go for a ride. YEEHA!!!
Reminds of how many years ago Playboy mag. did a road test of a Yamaha motorcycle. They said it" Takes off in a cloud of dust and a hearty "Hyoh Holy Shitt"...

Love the Jag XKE's Kim. Even Enzo Ferrari said it was the most beautiful car ever made.
Don
The XKE was just gorgeous. The drop top model far more so than the coupe.
I want one. Red or BRG.
The XKE was a gorgeous car. I'd love to have one. Reminds me of the old song "Dead Man's Curve". He was racing a shiny new Jag. Only problem with them (and seemingly all British Vehicles - working on them). Mr Lucas was called "The prince of darkness" for a reason!!!.
Beautiful car, only it should be on a nice winding road through the countryside.
Mr Lucas was called "The prince of darkness" for a reason!!!. Lucas was the inventor of warm beer.
