Thank you so much. I started drawing horses when I was 4 because we lived in the city and I couldn't have one. As I grew older, I started painting many things, so 82 years later, I'm still at it. (and I finally got a horse...77 of them at one time). It was as much fun to raise and show them as to paint them. The best of both worlds.

Thank you so much. Yep, loved every minute of it. There are a million more running around in my head, wanting to be brushed onto something.

Thank you Mrsmoses. It looks as if I may have to give up retirement and go back to work. I'm not even sure I can get the sweatshirts this close to Spring. Is the horse in your avarat a Cremello?? Hard to tell, Strawberry roan, white, grey?? If you want to PM me the size you need, I'll see if I can get more shirts and let you know.

Beautiful! I would have bought it when I had my Bay! Glad to see you are doing something for yourself.

Thank you Barbara. It feels good just to have a few moments to myself to even one thing I love doing.

My daughter and I showed the animated morgan horse and competed against saddlebreds and arabs. You must have a long history of showing to have the detail of the animated, bright, alert horse. He looks like an arab with the big eyes Nicely done.

He is a perlino. Won't have him long as he will be going to training and hopefully sold. Sorry you have to go back to work. I'll be 80 in March so I'm pretty sure I won't be working much and taking pictures has become a chore as I am
going blind. But I still can raise a foal each year at least for now.

I have bookmarked both your links and will give them a good-looking over.

Enjoy retirement, if you un-retire would you consider selling high IQ/megapixel images that I can print on my 13x19 photo printer to hang on my wall?

What a lovely piece of art. I would hang a piece of art like that on my wall any day even though I know very little about horses. Thank you for sharing Horseart.

Thank you for the kind comment Bob. I did show horses for many years and was blessed to have a horse that won all but 4 times out of hundreds of shows. We raised horses for almost 60 years and had 77 at one time. We kept 30 to 40 most of the time. I loved the training, trail riding and showing as well as helping birth those babies, but hubby loved raising them more than riding, so it worked well for both of us.

Oh my. I am so sorry to hear you are going blind. I will tell you something that might help and pray that it will.
The Dr that did my Cataract surgery also did the same surgery on Ronald Reagan and many Hollywood stars. He lived in Tn when I did but he flew to Ca two days a week to work in Hollywood. He told my husband who was going blind at the time, to take Vitamin A and Vitamin E once a day and it would help prolong his sight. He still had his sight when he passed away and before he stated taking those, he knew it was going very fast. For years after that he really thought his sight improved.
It may or may not help but I am one who will do or tell anyone anything I think might help. You are in my prayers.

Now...Perlinos are beautiful horses. After posting the picture of my shirt on 3 places, it's become clear that I am going to HAVE TO work some shirts into my time somewhere. I'm making a list and will see how fast I can get to them...I'm 86 and a lot slower than I used to be....but I'll do my best.
