I couldn't find my little tree frog for a few weeks. He has lived on my enclosed front porch since late September or early October. We have had the coldest winter in many years, down to 5 degrees one night. I figured he buried himself in the dirt in one of the flower pots. This morning I went on the porch to water my plants and there he was digging up out of the dirt in one of the pots. I gave him some meal worms. I hope he's happy.

🤗🤗🤗 Not everyone has a "House Toad". Think you might be able to train him to hunt and eat the bugs that tend to come inside during the winter?

Definitely! Maybe if I let him get a little hungry, I can teach him to cook too!

I love it, Jo.

I've experienced a " bond " like this before with a critter visitor. Interestingly, it was also a frog. He could come and go at will on my veranda. He hung around for over 3 months...I fed him, made sure he had water. Then one day he was gone. End of story.

I didn't either LeRoy. We had a dusting of snow, probably 100 flakes in all, but it melted in 5 minutes. I was used to cold winters in Tn but I don't want to get used to that here.

Oh that would be great Ron. I love lizards and frogs. They eat those pesky bugs!!!
