I like everything about this photo. I'm also surprised there are no people to mess up the shot.

Great perspective…never seen Mesa Arch from that angle before. How did you get it without 100s of people??? Beautiful!
Got there early, and got a few off before it filled up.
Awesome…..should be hanging on the wall.
Beautiful! I've never seen this vantage point and I like it.
I really like the depth that you have captured in this image. The eye moves from foreground to middle ground to background, easily and pleasantly. Well done.
WOW!!! Very pretty. Well done.

Great Picture! We were just there last May at that same Arch.

Thanks very much to all who gave me such great, supportive comments. I think I spent three days in Canyonlands on that particular trip, and of course, I have all the obligatory shots through the arch as well. Most of the time you're shoulder to shoulder with others getting the same shot, and have to wait your turn, so one morning I headed straight to the arch and was greeted with a completely empty scene, which I tried to make the most of by getting in the whole area. I don't know why it wasn't jammed with people before sunrise, but I'll just say I got lucky and leave it at that...
