"Everything"

One of my favorite programs is "Everything," the excellent app to find anything (and everything) on a computer. For some reason, it just stopped working. It can't find anything. I'm going to uninstall and reinstall it.

Yes, that did the trick. It now works as it used to. If you don't have "Everything," it's worth getting (free). Then your friends and relatives will be asking, "What do you get someone who has everything?" 😁

Revo Uninstaller removed about a dozen files more than the uninstaller in Everything.

Tried it. Liked it. Took about 15 seconds to install, then about 30 more to index all files across three large hard drives.

Wow, "Everything indexed 1,648,767 objects" on my 'Puter, Yikes!!!
It looks like I gotta go through my closet and do a thinning of the herd.
Pretty amazing since once you find the item you are looking for you can:
See what drive it is on, and its exact description, and you can open the document, picture, and even play the music.
Under "Help" you can get tips on how to use this tool at: https://www.voidtools.com/support/everything/

Thanks Again, Jerry

I agree with you Jerry about the use of 'Everything'. Great little utility. I've used it since its' inception.
Never have used a more efficient 'finder' as it.

For those who wish to 'find' it, it's available several places, but I prefer using 'Ninite.com', which is a safe site to download many items from.
God Bless,
Papa Joe

"Revo Uninstaller" does the uninstalling. "Everything" is what I uninstalled.

Revo begins by using the program's own uninstaller. Then it does a scan and list the files and folders it found. You can delete some or all of them. Then it does another scan. When there is nothing left to find, you click on Finish. After that, there should be no junk left behind.
