Love the mood! I prefer the first original just the way it is....a little desaturated. I do agree to crop the second so that your subject is out of the center. Very nice images.

I think the crop of the boat improves, mainly because I don't care for subjects dead-center. I wouldn't have considered the depth that St3v3m pointed out, so that was a nice lesson for me. With the soft, calm mystery of fog, I like originals better than sharpened or with added contrast. Very enjoyable images.

Your first photo if fantastic just as it is. On a foggy morning there ISN't much light, and your photo gives me the feeling that I am RIGHT THERE.

Definitely better with the cropping in both images and, I too, love foggy day images. Living here in San Francisco we get lot's of those.

I prefer the originals to any of the "improvements". The second is too subtle for my preference but I recognize it as masterful. #1 is just more my type.

Thank you, red pepper. Subjects not being in the center of the photo is a good lesson for me.
