A return to the once popular Art-Deco design colored kick with Pop-Art. This photo expresses the nerve-wracking big city life of today. Chris your work shows great effort and success visually expressing fingernails scratching down the old grade school chalkboards. This image is an eye-grabber and well done

The train provides scale allowing us to gauge the height of the buildings.

Oh I see that now in the buildings, had been too into taking in the whole experience and missed the individual gradients. Great idea!!

It's more dynamic with the gradients.

A throwback to my HS Geometry class. I find it more an illustration than a photo. Nothing wrong with that. I think the train works on this image.

Thank you and thanks to all who have left a comment. I agree this is certainly not a photo. No camera was used or abused in the making of this image. It was accomplished primarily with the line and shape tools in Photoshop. So "yes", it is definitely an illustration or drawing accomplished on a modern computer.

This really is excellent saxman, the colours, shapes and composition are spot-on. The train is right as it is, for both colour and position. I can appreciate the effort required in making the picture- and it was well worth it.

I like the train in it. It somehow completes all the vertical lines of the buildings.

This is something I put together over the last several weeks. The image was made entirely with Adobe Photoshop. I was originally inspired by a Christmas ornament I saw somewhere and tried to expand on the theme. The last element I added was the train at the bottom of the image. That may have been overkill. I would love to know your thoughts; what did I do right and where did I go too far. Thanks for taking a look. Chris

WOW! The title is completely appropriate for this totally Art Deco city. I really like everything about this....especially the train.
