Meal from the Dumpster....... !!

So, the wonderful lady that lived next door moved to an assisted living quite some time ago. Her house sat unoccupied for almost a year - then there was a foreclosure sale. I felt bad about that as I had such fond memories and chats with her.
~ However, when the house sold (the buyer was a House Flipper), it began a remodeling process that involved a Dumpster in the driveway. The door to the back of this dumpster was always open and was visible as we ingressed and egressed from our own garage. One day...
...I noticed something orange in the entryway of said dumpster. It sat there for several days until my curiosity got the better of me (an attractant...Bright Shiny Object) so I walked over and took a peek. Turns out it was a lid to a cooking pan. A Le Creuset pan, specifically. It was just sitting there. So's I thought, where is the pan that belongs to the said lid... and sure enough, the pan was further up in the piles of crap in there. So, I did a little "Diving" to retrieve that pan - and noticed - more orange things!
~ All in all, I recovered a sauce pan with a lid, an 8" frypan, and the Grill pan you see in this image. All are in used condition but in great shape!! All
Le Creuset brand! All Orange!
They happily reside in my kitchen now to produce Pork Steaks such as these and various other culinary things.
~ .......Whooohoo!!
Great story, I'm glad they found a good home.

That is a great find. I have several LeCreusets including an orange sauce pan. I have all colors of the rainbow. I think orange is one of their older colors.
Looks good and a nice photo.
Bonus!!!! I'm not beyond dumpster diving myself to keep perfectly good things out of the Landfill. Why do some people just throw everything away?!
Great story, fine photo. It always amazes me that people will “dump” perfectly useable items instead of giving them to such places as Goodwill or The Salvation Army.
