Recently someone posted a message about selling equipment to KEH and they reduced the amount offered in the final. I just had the opposite experience. I sent my Sigma 150-600mm C and they offered $50.00 more after evaluating it.

If you buy, just make sure you never buy bargain or as is. It's a door stop. ITS their way of getting rid of their junk for money. But like new or excellent +.

I bought a Nikon 70~200mm f/4 rated very good from KEH. I couldn't tell that it wasn't new!

I have one bargain item, most are EX or EX+, and one LN. Like New just includes a box, where Bargain probably has a detracting (visible) exterior mark. But still, my 'bargain' body operates every way as-good-as-new as the LN body.

I also just purchased a "used" 24-70 Z lens from KEH and just like Retired CPO, I also could not tell that it wasn't new. Also, I note from FedEx tracking that my huge box of used photo equipment was delivered to KEH yesterday so I'll write back to all of you to let you know how that experience was after they open and price.
I've bought ninety percent of all my photo equipment from KEH as 'good' or 'bargain' including my d850 and the long zoom lens, and a 135 mm, a d7200 with a long zoom lens and other equipment. There are scuff marks where you would expect on the 850 but does everything better than expected. I've dealt with them for several years and their products always have exceeded the ratings.

I have bought a couple of bargain items and I personally would have classed them as very good.
A few scuffs that were irrelevant to function and worked like new. But know that the return policy is good if needed.
I had sent two Fujifilm XF 18-55mm lenses to MPB and they refused to buy them stating that they had mold and scratches on the lens. I knew this was wrong as I take photos of my gear. So I sent them to KEH and recieved top dollar for both of them. I'll never do business with MPB again after that experience..

This is interesting. I had the exact opposite happen to me with a lens at KEH. Go figure.

That applies to any store.

I've sold equipment to KEH at several buying events with good results until the last time, a few months ago, and will never deal with them again! Their price was well below their online estimate.

I sold them two bought new hardly ever used 70-200 f/4 and 200-500 and got more than my original quote. Whoever buys them gets perfect lenses.

I have always received a fair trade-in price and quality used purchases. Sometimes the gift card payment system is glitchy and you have to call. I find KEH better than B&H for both trade-ins and used buying, though B&H is also good.

I have bought a couple of bargain items which were broken. KEH would not take them back. Now I only use Ex, Ex+, and like-new.
If you buy bargain, it may be. Or it may be broken, in which case, KEH will not exercise their famous replacement before even getting the original back guarantee.
I bought a few bargain items from them, and they were great. No problems.
