It's always the same thing... mindlessly posting everyday photos and expect an ego boost, then start throwing insults to defend yourself... and by the way, not so nice of a way to start out.

Whats the significance of you photos other than your assumption everyone will find your grand daughter as adorable as you think...

Where are the questions or any kind of enlightenment?

What camera is used? the lighting conditions, resolution, F stop, shutter speed, anything that is worth talking about other than your admiration for your adorable grand children?

It seems a few are on the same ship sailing into the so typical sh*t storm of ridicule here once again... Be smart and post your images in the proper place and forget the ignorance defense to avoid this in the future please...

There seems to be those with common technical sense expecting questions and responses to subjects of interest in this main topic area, but others who love flowers, unknown grand children and just pretty things popping up on their monitors as they navigate another wonderful non-productive day just for the pure joy of it...

Over and over it is explained where and what you should do with your gallery photos, first nice... and then hate and the defense of ignorance and displeasure takes over... eventually all hell breaks out.

Was it really worth it for you to share your personality traits with your responses and turn the photos of your family into a point of argument?

For me I don't want to be bored with snap shots of someones grand children, butterfly's or for that matter flowers in the main discussion area, learn and move on...

What a little doll. You are a lucky man. I have 7 grandsons. No granddaughters, except by marriage. It's just not the same.

She is adorable! The ice cream pic is a favorite. You seem to have mastered the 'Z.'

Alas, seems like a Photo Gallery post.

Not quite sure of the meaning of your statement. If you don’t want to look at someone’s post, don’t. I think the posts of his pictures were great; they will be a treasure to have as the child goes through life.

Thx, but all of those pics were pre-z. D850 for all of them.

After observing a quite embarrassing exchange with a brand new member who dared to pist some photographs in an introductory post here yesterday, I went on a search to find the actual posted written rules forbidding photographs in this forum. I looked in all obvious spots for a specific ruling. I intentionally omitted looking anywhere that required any level of mind reading or ExtraSensory Perception. I found nothing. Nada. Zilch.

In fact, in the rules for this section, the very first specific instruction I found covered not only "How to post a picture," but also how to "Store Original," in order to post it with higher resolution.

My intent here is not to pick a fight. I'm sure this post is well along a path of being moved. But if this forum is to survive, it is time to start focusing on what matters. Photograps are generally not evil on a photography forum.

There should be a special section for UHH Stasi officers to try their cases against violators of UHH law.

Your granddaughter definitely has some beautiful blue eyes and many other attributes to make her a lovely young lady. Many of her attributes I see in my three granddaughters as well. Maybe that is what makes adorable and lovely granddaughters grow up into adorable and lovely young women then girlfriends and wives.

Sweet little Miss! Love the 2nd photo - the blue eyes and lashes are super sharp.

There are some truly good people on UHH and, just as in the real world, some are a bit quick to find fault. New members often err on where to post their images. Fortunately, the Admin will move the post to the correct section/forum.

Take care!

Yes, I just don't get the adoration some have for unfamiliar family snap shots ... is this an extension of facebook and are we all friends now?

I do miss all the talk on UV lens filter protection...
