after my Dr appt at Peace Health i got lost in the hospital trying to find my car. after walking around for about 25 min i saw a police officer and asked him for directions and he offered to drive me around and help me find my car. he said to hop in the back and we drove thru the parking lots till we found it. first time i was ever in back seat of a caged police car!

the view was very obstructed and not good of Photography.

While in Europe this fall I rented a car that showed its location on the iphone map. I came in handy when returned from a hike on a different path than we started on

Apple air tags are generally on sale around Christmas. I threw one in my car and now I can find it in large parking lots.

I was a health inspector and our cops would occasionally give me a ride in the back of their squad car. The first thing you notice, is that there are no door handles and no window or lock buttons (or if they're there, they don't work). Once in; you're pretty much a prisoner until they let you out and it feels pretty weird. Luckily, they always let me out.

If you have a Smart phone, then Google Maps has a neat feature - drop a pin where you park. You have to remember to do this before you go too far. I read recently that the updated Maps will automatically do this for you. This will be a great addition.

have you ever, on a long driving trip, stopped at an interstate rest stop, exited out the wrong door ( on the other side of the facility ), and noticed someone had changed the whole layout? Like they had rotated the whole dang place...
and your car is Not where you put it? w0{ndering if you had entered a highway twilight zone?

Nope. Not me either.

It happened to us at the Atlanta Airport over 35 years ago. We took my wife's sister and her husband to the airport and parked in the short term parking deck. This was before security so we could see friends and family to the gate. I think we were at the airport 2 hours or more. When we got back to the terminal, we followed the signs to the parking deck. Our car was gone! What do we do in this situation. We go back to the terminal to report our car was stolen to the authorities. I noticed a sign that said south parking lot, and turned to see where we just came from - north parking lot. Hmmm? We went to the other parking lot and there was our car. The lots were identical in numbering and decks, except one was N and the other was S. Scary times.

After reading your first sentence I have to ask, what was your car doing in the hospital?

It's not hard to be 50 miles away in Houston. I live on the southwest side and keep my boat north of the city — about 110 miles away! In fact I can drive 35-40 miles and still be in my school district.

Houston is big and just getting bigger.

As a matter of fact, that has happened to me a couple of times in Georgia and Mississippi.
