I acquired the above mentioned rolling backpack in great condition EXCEPT that the telescoping handle does not work. I have made suitable compensation arrangements with the seller, but that still leaves me without a working handle. Lowepro claims that they are out of stock on this item. If anyone out there has a trashed version of this rolling backpack with a working handle, or a handle by itself, kindly get in touch by Personal Message and maybe we can do business. If I were to look for a new rolling backpack, I would probably get a Think Tank, but it's worth trying to fix the one I have.
I've owned this bag for some time now (maybe 4 or 5 years). I use the bag several (2 to 3 times a month) times a month to shoot events at our clubhouse. So it is not that the bag is heavily used, but it just doesn't sit on the shelf either. With that said, the handles don't hold up that well. I've been having trouble with mine retracting. My next step is to try spraying the handle and the push button with silicone spray in hopes that will help. I wouldn't spend much money on a new handle as they don't hold up with what I call little to moderate use. It's a great bag, but I've had my issues over the years using it. Good Luck

Thanks for the real world report. My general sense is that the handle is a weak point. Lowepro dropped this model, and seems to be moving to a « two column » design, which is easier to operate, IMHO, and may have fewer mechanical issues.
