Yes, I know. Having been introduced to hitchhiker radio series in the lates 70's - I think before the any of the books, TV series or film came out. It's possible the first book may have been released, when my brother played his recordings of the show to us.
42 is the answer to the ultimate question, not the answer to everything. What the actual ultimate question is is still unknown :)
It would be fair to call me a fan, but perhaps not a hardcore fan as I've not read 'And another thing' or the comic books & haven't seen the stage shows. I may not have caught the 6th series of the radio show either - having been produced so long after Douglas Adams died.
