It still only offers AF with lenses that contain a focus motor.

Use link below for your flash. I would guess others sell one besides Westcott. By the way, Westcott FJ flashes work with multiple brands thru theor menu system. Can't help with your lenses. Maybe a live web chat with someone at B&H,= NOT OPEN ON SATURDAY's Good luck, Tom

When E-mount was young there was a dearth of native glass, so adapters were a reasonable solution. But in 2023, going on to 2024, E-mount has more native lens options than any other mount.

Ken Rockwell once opined that adapters were for those with an overwhelming nostalgia for heritage glass, who were unable or unwilling to adapt. So in my view an adapter today is really just a toy to play with, sort of like a vintage film camera.

You appear to lack the relevant experience and / or an interested mind ...

Legacy film-era lenses will typically lack any electronics to communicate with modern digital cameras. But, the forward-thinking among us, we'll adapt these lenses to mirrorless digital cameras, where the enabling technologies from the cameras and computer software can make these lenses more effective than they ever performed on a film camera. Enabling technologies like: IBIS, focus peeking, multi-frame burst, lens distortion correction, and Chromatic Aberration correction.

Of course, digital mirrorless can't enable AF for lenses needing a focus motor, the issue that appears to be the OP's. But, to anyone capable of manual focusing a lens and leveraging these mirrorless technologies, they'll find these legacy lenses actually deliver better results than ever were possible on the delayed-feedback process of shooting film with these lenses.

I'm not a fan of adapters, but the Nikon Z adapter works perfectly.
