Deep In A Shaded Canyon...
An old corral awaits the next round up. Frost on the log fence and remnants of snow, it was a cold morning.
I like finding hidden gems like this. Reminds me of being a kid cowboying with my grandpa.
Very nicely done, Jederick.
Beautifully done, Jim. Great detail in the download.

Nice photo of my favorite place...The West.
I really like that photograph. It speaks of times from long ago gathering horses and ranching in out of the way places. Well done.

...my curiosity has gotten the better of me (so, please, don't take this as a criticism, but as me seeking more information). How much did you "work" that scene? How many other shots did you take? You mention "frost" and "snow" and I can see what appears to be the snow on the log, but it's just a small piece of the overall scene. Did you take any pictures from closer to the fence or sagebrush or the log?
...as a P.S., It is a quirk of mine, (hence a reason I normally go solo when I'm shooting pictures,) that I would spend a lot of time at a spot like this shooting pictures, all the way from close-ups of the weathered fencepost/railing out to a full shot of the full canyon.

Well goofybruce, I was shooting solo this day and took eight photos at this site...one I have photographed many times over the years. My intention with the initial post was to show the corral with a nice landscape background. However, I did get a post that may answer your questions and will post it here. The "white" on top of the fence posts is frost...I wiped my finger along the top to verify
That's frost on the ground in the corral is frost also.
