Nice car image. As a kid I got a ride once or twice in an earlier GTO hardtop, a 1965 or 1966 I believe. It was quite an experience. Lots of "ponies" under the hood.
My younger brother had one, he called the insurance company before buying and gave them all the details except the name.
Result couldn't afford to insure it, so after buying and fixing it up, he drove a somewhat busted GTO after canceling the insurance and promptly running it into a ditch or something.

A beauty! In 1970, I bought a new GTO and liked it. However, my eyes always glistened when I saw the ‘67. Thx for sharing….
I love it! Back in those days, the GTO (an upgraded and re-badged Tempest/LeMans) was 206.6 inches in length. That's over 17 feet! Contrast that with today's popular muscle car, the Ford Mustang GT, which measures a puny 188.5 inches (15.7 feet) -- a good foot and a half shorter!
The '67 marked the end of the first generation GTO. 1968 saw a redesign that, in my eyes, never matched up to the original. But then, I'm an old troglodyte...
Very nice.
I truly enjoy your 'Blast from the Past' images
