See Italy!.... they said! Cross the Alps on an Elephant!.....they said! The Romans will be so terrified they will throw down their weapons!!.... They said! In future wars, I wonder what bird-brained ideas they will come up with. Maybe screen doors on submarines! That would work!
Linda whispered in my ear yesterday. That is a nice elephant you got there!... she said! You should make a composite image!....she said! It'll have the UHH folks in stitches!....she said!
The idea was nice; but the execution is still way above my pay grade. I had fun with it and that does count in my book. Maybe one of these days I'll get serious about compositing images. For the sake of transparency, the elephant and the Alps are my photos. The Carthaginian came from the internet.
Great image and SUPER idea! Nicely done...the mist reminds me of an image in a dreamstate!
I think it's a fabulously fun fantasy, Erich! I laughed out loud at the elephant's expression and those crazy tusks, along with the rather portly warrior in pink

Exactly my complaint about "Generative AI." I went to my insane friend, Google Deep Dreams, expecting insanity fun of dogs, birds and such woven into the starting photo. Instead the end result was an artistic masterpiece far beyond my imagination, filled with symbolism, and creative skills. Unquestionably beyond my "pay grade" dealing with photo tool and drawing capabilities, and of course creative thought. If attempted by me it would have failed after many hours, but the new, too good, Deep Dreams executed it own masterpiece in a minute. Amazing, humbling me a mere human.
" The Romans will be so terrified they will throw down their weapons!!" We should be terrified of Generative AI and throw down our cameras and editing programs and hide in a dark closet.
I mentioned in another post that human women have fallen short of my expectations after I fell in love with the beautiful, sexual, replicant Rachel in the movie Blade Runner. Rachel was not a Tesla mechanical Robot, she was fully functional woman well beyond the mere human women, she is a replicant, not a robot. A "replicant is a fictional bioengineered humanoid."

Thanks. I really liked the idea; but I think I need to work on execution.

I had to stretch the fellow out a bit to make him fit on elephant. I'm going to have to really go back and review some of the many ideas others here have suggested. I'm also going to have to spend more time on PS. via youtube. Compositing sounds easy; until you actually try it and want it to look good. Glad the image made you laugh. That was the main idea.

Fun result, Erich!
Thank you. I do plan to improve my compositing skills; but this idea seemed appropriate. Thanks for taking a look.

If I made you laugh, then the image is a success. Thanks for taking a look.

I think there are some real problems with AI that have nothing to do with photography. School assignments can be generated by a computer instead of sweated out by students. All of my students have computers at their desks that can access the internet. It is a fabulous tool if it is not abused. The temptation to have the computer do your work for you is great. I find it ironic that, in order to assure that my students are doing their own work, I have them write everything on paper and do it in class in front of me with their computers closed.
As for your biogenerated girlfriends.... er, ah, I think you are on your own there. lol

Well done Erich. Compositing is so much fun altho not so much when AI takes over. It's ruining our imaginations. However, I do like the cartoonish appearance here. I have been trying to learn a simple way to create cartoon characters from some of my images.
I think it's a fun image. My only suggestion would be cropping out the bottom portion of the image that is showing that Hard line across the Elephant's trunk and foot. When the elephant image was brought into the composite, it should have been moved down so that hard line is not showing or the hard line should have been blurred out or masked out. Anyway, It's a fun image to look at.

I did not think of blurring the hard line; but that is a great idea. Thanks. Thanks also for your comments and time.
