Well, on a recent morning walk in my neighborhood, I saw. I have walked by this enormous retaining wall many times but on this day, it caught my attention. For some reason, I thought the shadows on the blocks looked like Martini glasses. I'm a bourbon guy so I have no idea where this came from. Hmm, what can I do with that? I also took a couple other images from that wall. See below.

So, what do you think? Do these images qualify as "Digital Art" or am I climbing up the wrong wall?

Yeah, what you see is what you get may not always be what we see. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion because I believe everyone sees things differently. What's art to one may be junk to someone else. I very rarely delete an image because if I can remember where I have stored the said image, I may use it later in a composite for IMO, art. Thanks for the subject matter.

To me, it doesn't matter what kind of art you want to call it. I like it!

Thank You.

Well I think they qualify as art for sure, but I wouldn’t bother arguing the case - not because of the images value - because, as RG points out, that’s a personal interpretation.
I like the Martini shot and the coloured foliage, both would be fine on the wall of a modern wine bar. Looking without seeing is a common fault and takes a lot of effort to overcome (I personally find!). You’ve done very well with these Fstop.

."Art is Art in the eye of the beholder." To some you were suspicious taking too many photos of the highway support and they called 911. After explaining to the agencies that swooped in ... both Federal and Local, as well as the men with the white coat long sleeves tied in the back... you managed to get some interesting POV, point of view, shots. Your wife waiting in the car, came to your rescue and explained that you were not a nut or terrorist, worse, an artistic photographer.

Adding the red to the gray rhythm was a lesson on how strong a tad of color can be in a bland shot. I recall a to infinity photo of a field of yellow flowers and there about 2/3 back and up was one red blossom... without that one flower [adhering to the 1/3 rule] it would have been a nothing/so-what photo. The vine in your photo rattled the imagination.

While I like your POV images, the one with the red stands out... the others are very interesting and the basis for building on, which you have done with photo #2 by adding the Maraschino Cherry and the red vine.

I recall my microscopist... "Hey look at this"... going over and looking at the slide he is saying to me... "Do you see what I see?" I didn't see what he saw..."Art is Art in the eye of the beholder." and not every one can see.

Thank you for that critque and kind comment. I have long sense given up what people think of me when I am out and about taking photos with my camera. I have literally laid down in the floor, stood in water, carried my IPhone mounted on a extended Paint pole, walked up to a blank wall and shot macro's etc. My wife run interference for me saying things like, " It's his one day pass from the Home", LOL. I heard a saying once which I absolutely subscribe to, " What people think of me is none of my business".

It's spectacular but ineffective as a border wall. So, it's a good thing it is not located at a certain southern border.

I love its artistic potential and how you took advantage of that.

I applaud you for taking the time to " work your subject". I totally did not see the martini glasses until you mentioned them, and now I can't "unsee" them.
