Thanks very much. I also agree our country today is so vastly different than when I joined in 1965.
Retired from the army after 22 years, including 27 months in Vietnam.

Total agreement, '67-'71- Navy, back in the "olden days ".
Thank you for remembering, pretty lady. I would like to say all my service time was a pleasure but, oh well. Nick Marks, USAF 1965 to 1969.

Let's not forget our friends who never came home. For me that was Dave Quay from Manchester, Conn.:1968. RIP, Dave.
We are proud to serve our country and an honor to wear our uniforms.

To David, it would be an honor to wear my uniform, if I could only fit in it!!!
Thank you for your thoughts 🎂 🙏
My husband served in the marines in Afghanistan. He sustained a combat injury there. He lost his left leg below the knee. He recovered and after rehabilitation was discharged. He returned to school and received a law degree. I am so proud of him. He is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I know there are thousands of stories like his out there. I wanted to share his story.

Yes, there are other stories out there, but, each story is important as those such as your husband gave far extra of themselves in defending ours & others freedoms. The true example of honor and dedication. Your appreciation of that is to be honored, too. I, as well as others I sure, wish you and your husband the best in your journey through life
