Clean for me, but facial hair interferes with my embochure for tuba playing, so there's that...

[quote=jerryc41]Just curious - How many of you (men, only) have a mustache or beard of any kind? I had a mustaches for decades, and then I shaved it off. Now, I have a mustaches and chin whiskers. Since Covid, many more men have beards.[/quote

I shaved off my mustache once since 1967 and that was for a beard-growing contest that you had to be clean-shaved to sign up for..

I once tried having a beard and mustache.
Didn't like either.
Thank goodness at 70 I have all my hair.
I have so many scars and devices implanted under my scalp I would scare the Frankenstein monster,
let alone kids.

Ham radio, photography, and wet shaving are my hobbies. I shave with a double edge and straight razor. Had a mustache when in college, but go for baby butt smooth daily shaves.

Never had facial hair. My manhood has never been a problem.

Full beard most of my life since graduating high school in 69'. In Zumwalt's Navy we could grow a beard, so that was nice, too. Had to put in a "chit" for it but that was a small price to pay.

I have shaved it off occasionally, but when I look at myself in the mirror it's like I'm trying to be someone else. So, the beard is just me.

By the way, that's a self portrait, not a "selfie" (they're not the same thing).

Beard and moustache since I left the army in 1983. As others have stated, it is much easier to wash than the daily hassle of shaving. I used to have a heavy, dark growth that meant shaving several times a day whilest serving. Now it is not so dark so wouldn't matter as much I guess. Still, never going to shave again!

Well, if we're going to start posting photos, here's one taken this past summer, and except for the mustache, I shave everyday:

Mustache since around 1976. I fell and broke a tooth and cut my face so once the tash grew I never shaved it off.

Definitely clean shaven. Can't even come down to breakfast until I've fully shaved. Just don't feel clean until then.

I had a moustache once when I was young. Probably made me feel butch then, but once I'd had it and a streaming cold it felt so unhygienic.

Just my thoughts, but you did ask Jerry.
