I LOVE THAT ONE!

It's called Slap happy Sleuths, I think.

These are tops to old filter cases, drilled and filed to create different shapes and sizes of openings.

While I never tired it, I know some guys would take an old skylight filter and just smear petroleum jelly on it, leaving the center clean, to get that sort of effect.

Depending on the focal length of lense and the aperture used, many different effects can be created.

You've seen some of my flowers. Here are couple of pics of a bride in different versions.

Thanks for the question.

Very nice, I particularly like the result in the 5th example. I've collected a few old filters that would give a similar effect but I've not got round to trying them (or the vaseline option)

Yep.
But then u had to carry Vaseline around with u, and always had a finger u couldn't get clean and a gooey filter.
On a hot day that stuff just runs all over the place.

You've REALLY outdone yourself with this spectacular group 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈 How do you motivate yourself to get out and regularly take shots? I have three awesome cameras, when the weather gets bad, I just hang back. Back when I started with digital when I was 50, I had a yearly collection of about 15-20,000 shots. 19 years later, I ride around in my car looking.... If you would give me a hint, I would appreciate it, here or private messaging. Thanks!

We have wonderful system of Metroparks, city and state parks and a national park here I love wandering in, that motivates me to get out and get photos . Also it's fun and easy to use Smart Photo Editor from Anthropics for the special effects I add.
