Glad you enjoyed this set, DJ--Crystal Lake has never disappointed me, it's always photogenic! (But more so BEFORE the winds kick up, lol!)

That is indeed a beautiful scene! And I too, like the old wooden pier in your photo. It adds a very nice point of interest. I am sure the makers of the new pier were strictly thinking "Functionality, and cost", not aesthetics. It never entered their minds.

Oh, there is no new pier, only a big metal box that probably houses the electrical controls for controlling the water level. That's why I am glad I have my old photo!
