Very impressive
What is HDR? And how do I access original.
Left click on the "download" under the picture to open it in full screen, it's worth it!
HDR stands for High Dynamic Range imaging.
Very quickly, it means taking 3 or more shots of exactly the same image but altering the exposure above and below the "right" exposure. This means that some shots will correctly expose the highlights and some will get the shadows correct.
Later one merges all the images together, thus getting one single shot that will show detail that a normal digital camera cannot.
Hope that helps you Ravenmaven.

Every time someone posts to this topic I get an email and I go back to look at this photo, I can't help myself! It just pops off the page and I feel like I am standing there looking at it in person. You really captured the scene as the eye would see it, not as the camera normally would. Please keep sending them, they are a joy to look at. (:
Even after telling us it was an arch I had to download it and magnify it before my eyes would let me see the arch part of the photo.
Great photo!!!

I have to tell you, I am not a fan of HDR, but this one has won me over, great subject, tastefully done, wonderful composition. It's a winner all around! :-D
