This is double hernia repair day. I will be back tomorrow.
Things will go well! Hang in there Mike.
Had the repair about 20 yrs ago and it went on without a hitch. Gave me pain meds but didn't need them and was riding my horse 3 weeks later. They don't call us tough old birds for nothing. Trust it will turn out well for you too.
Get well quick Mike and hopes for success.

I didn't want to post this till your surgery was over with, but I too had two repaired at the same time over five years ago. The umbilical one was the older method of scalpel and screen while the inguinal was laparoscopic. The former has worked quite well so far. The latter was painful for the next four years, but the pain diminished slowly but surely and it now seems to be completely gone (finally), so I'm wishing you better success than I had in the healing department. Hope all went well!
A humorous note. Had double hernia done years ago. 4 hours after surgery, the nurse comes & tells me the Dr. wanted me to walk every couple of hours. Gave me a shot of morphine without asking me. Repeated 2 more times. Third time I felt like I was drunk on beer; everything spinning around which I can’t stand. I yelled at the nurse to get permission from the Dr. to give me something to
stop the beer drunk spinning sensation. She did. Don’t know what she gave me; but, it did the trick & I slept like a baby that night. :-)
Hope all goes well Mike, and speedy recovery.
