Can’t have it, because I would have to “download” it within 10 minutes. 😵💫
I will join you. By the way, what's the value of a pancake?

Sounds good. How many people can you host for breakfast this week?
Any problem with maple syrup from the US?
Googling a bit I think a digital image can be worth from nothing to 69 millions dollars. The vast majority of them are worth nothing.

Let's add to that "how high is up".

None intrinsically.
Monetary wise whatever some sucker is willing to pay for it.
Sentimental wise it is the connection with the viewer.
That can be said of anything. Value is purely arbitrarily and culturally subjective.

I think we need a bit more information to provide a “valuable” answer.
Can you please give us a little more information of your definition of value? Financial, emotional, its use, entertaining, eye catching, technical?
Is there a correlation between amount of effort and work put into capturing and creating the image to its value, no? I think there is a value impact on who is taking the photo? Reputation and pedigree must have some impact on the value. A William Eggleston photo has a different value than a Robert Levy photograph.
I have a friend who is a professional photographer, he charges $16,000 for a single portrait, and he is quite busy. He has defined the value of certain photos. I know others who don’t charge anything. Does that mean those have no value?
Good question! I have a good answer: it depends!
A valuable picture could be used as evidence of something - a crime, the reason for a failure, or proof that something occurred. As for the monetary value, that would depend on the deep pockets of the one buying it. Historical photos have sold for large amounts, but it depends on how much a person wants that particular photo. Isn't there a photo of a stream and grass that sold for a ridiculous amount?
In a fundraiser for the Maui fire victims, several beautiful ukuleles were auctioned off. The top price was $42,275 for a Kanile'a, built by Joe Sousa, one of the world's premiere ukulele builders. That wasn't the value of the uke, of course, but that's what someone was willing to pay for charity.
If people are willing to pay more than $1 million for a car, they would probably at least half that for a nice picture that someone took.
Something (anything) only has value if someone is willing to pay for it.
I have an unused "company" monogrammed pencil from a company that has not been around for YEARS!
Is it worth anything?
Yes, as a pencil.

I think that refers only to a monetary value. I think there are other values in addition to money. That pencil could represent a memory of a lifetime of working at that company (good or bad), as a photograph of a loved one could represent the memory of that person.

Artistically, financially, emotionally? "Value" has too many meanings. Generalities become a guessing game not a discussion. Seems we also need to define "Image" as well. Since I can't read minds I am not going to try to explain what you meant. Have a good one.

Actually, in this world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs), this is quite a valid topic of discussion. I'm a little it surprised that a community which places such value on having or wanting the latest and greatest cameras and lenses hasn't had the discussion already.

Throw in real NYS maple syrup and you have a deal. Maybe some hickory smoked bacon to seal that deal. What time are you serving?
