That's not a 70-200 f2.8, is it, Vin?

no, it's not Ray. This is Canon's 24-105L lens, and an excellent performer it be!
Nice shots--close-ups of autos are my favorite kinds of shots of them.

thank you John! Well, I'm a fan of close up detail shots too. For me, it serves a few purposes. For starters, you can eliminate much of the extraneous clutter you get at most car shows from people, coolers, hoods open, folding chairs, etc. And, as they say, "the beauty is in the details" and that's never been more true than what it is in cars. Let's face it, shooting cars and photographs of cars can be quite boring with most you see being shots of 3/4 front views shot from standing eye level, and often with the damn hoods open..a 10 year old could do that! Even the ugliest of cars can have interesting, if not beautiful details...it's just a matter of walking around the car and "seeing" them!
Very nice images. Indeed less is more.
