I love most foods. I have eaten okra and most likely will again but that does not help my taste buds to not taste a snotty texture in the okra. I just swallow it along with whatever else is in the gumbo. I suspect your lovely wife probably makes the best gumbo in the state. I plan to stop in if I am ever in your neck of the country just to give it a taste test. I know it will be scrumptious.

Okra is the bomb! Gumbos, stews... light cornmeal dusting and pan fried is a fave.
