Every day, I have a delay in getting out and doing things: changing from my PJs to my street clothes. Here it is almost 1:00 PM, and I'm still sitting at the computer in my pajamas. Retirement is nice.
Gotcha beat. I had company over the week end, and Monday I stayed in my PJs all day. I run late getting out every day too because I don't get up until 8AM, then after a shower and feeding my 17 year old Yorkie by hand (because he can't swallow well) and feeding and watering my parrot, then watering my flower beds (because Alabama summer sun will burn them up in one day) I'm finally ready to roll. I paint a little, maybe take a few pix. Then I don't always feel like rolling but I can make it to the computer.

Retirement is great! You can wake up, have breakfast. Watch some TV. Sit on the couch. Take a nap. When you wake up, stroll into the kitchen. Fix yourself a sandwich. Watch TV and lay down on the couch. Pet the dog who comes over for a bite of your sandwich. Take a nap. Wake up because a friend called you. Take about the news, the weather and share some photos by our cell phones. Take a nap. Wake up a few hours later. Pop some leftovers in the microwave. Heat them up. Brew up a pot of coffee. Drink coffee and take a nap at the kitchen table. Wake up and decide to go out for the day. Change your pajamas into street clothing. Look at the watch on your wrist. Its too late to go out. Lay down on the couch. Take a nap and wake up tomorrow. Repeat!!
