AGAIN, it is not fake but you can call it whatever you like. Apparently to YOUR usage it would be fake. I reserve the option of having my OWN feelings in things I post without having to think as you do.
Buh Bye now,

My apologies for not reading through the entire posting. However, I recently came across some information I feel needs to be shared. I sent a local camera store a question if they handled CF Format 64Gb cards, and was told they did not carry that anymore. Nor do they carry SD cards. Now the requirement is XQD and CF Express cards so I would have to go to Amazon. So I ordered a CF Format 64Gb card on September 13 and expect to receive it around October 10.
So be prepared for this problem to show up in your life.

You're describing types of cards that are needed for particular a camera. You need to purchase the particular type required for your camera.

I just ordered a couple of CF cards from Amazon last week and got them the next day.
Four of my 5 cameras require the cards I am talking about. One, my Nikon D4s, requires a XQD card and a CF Format card. Everything else requires the SD and CF cards. Yes, I have older cameras. Not everyone can afford new cameras every time one comes out.
Besides the fact that the cards I need are not available everywhere anymore.

Nothing wrong with older cameras. I have several classic Nikons ranging from D40 to D750. I have more fun shooting them than I do shooting my mirrorless camera.

Maybe in your life that happens but not in mine. When I say, with all due respect, I am pointing out I don't wish to start a problem but this is my opinion. If you can come up with a better and more polite manner then I welcome it.

Honey, it's not your fault. You just didn't know any better.....

You have the 2 cameras you can try it out and see what happens. I think the 2 cameras will put the images in different folders. Also I think it would still work if you didn't initially format the card.
But I wouldn't do that.
I swap cards between a RX10 IV, A6000, A7S, A7 III and an A7R V on a regular basis with no problems.
If the formatting was different, I doubt they'd all read in the same external reader, and they do.

Just because one CAN do something does not mean that a person SHOULD do that thing.
If a person chooses to do a thing or adopt a process that does not follow written instructions and good practice, that person has absolutely no grounds to complain or ask for sympathy sometime later when the process fails. Many products and processes are robust enough to avoid catastrophic failure sometimes when misused. That does not mean that they will avoid failure every time they are misused.
Just because my GMC Acadia is capable of travelling down the highway at 105 mph or so does not mean that it is a good idea for me to drive it at that speed.

Correct!
That's where knowledge, understanding, common sense, and good judgement come into play.
Some things are critical, some are not.
Some things can kill you some won't.
Choose wisely.
Or out of apprehension.
[quote=Bubbee]I once put a card from my D7100 into my Z50.
It worked fine, but when I imported into PSE, it identified the card as D7100.
The pictures were fine, but now I reformat so that the ID conforms to the camera.[/quot
Did you know that you can set the prefix that each camera uses for the images? I haven't done that in a while, but I used to have "7501" and "7502" for two D750s.

Thanks; however, I'm going to stick with this method, rather than changing. But it's nice to know ! Thanks!
