On an Intel Mac, running Mac OS Monterrey. In Develop mode I'm trying to put keywords on each image, progressing left to right in the filmstrip. All fine until I did something wrong- but I don't know what it is. Now, every time I select an image I get a second image selected, each with a small diamond, either white or black, in the top right corner. As I toggle between them the color in the diamond switches. Keywords seem to be synced between them, as the keywords for both images show up in the keyword panel of each. I've made sure auto sync is turned off. I've tried "deselect active image" but that only serves to move the selection attribute to another image, and i still have two selected images.
How do I undo this?

Does it look something like this?
The red arrow points to the 'compare' setting. Click on another setting to go back to another view.
OR
Go to View and click on some other view in the drop-down dialog. The arrow points to the 'compare' setting. Try another setting in that dialog. Keyboard shortcuts are on the right side of that dialog.
Sorry, I don’t have a suggestion what change you made or how to revert this change, but I also often inadvertently make a change to some configuration setting by hitting a shortcut key while typing in keywords. I am a notoriously bad hunt and peck typist. ;-(
Figured it out!
In the bottom left of the screen DirtFarmer graciously provided above, there are boxes with "1" and"2" in them, just below the word "Import." Clicking on "2" makes my problem go away! Hurray!

Glad you were able to figure it out --- it can be very frustrating at times.

I believe the “1” and “2” refer to a dual monitor setup.
