Point out someone here that actually thinks they OWN and therefore can sell software. Few to none think this, and the words used to describe subscription software is rented software.

What I said was several, people here have said they own the software. I then said and agree with the statement that if you own the software you can do anything you like with it, including making copies as he said, selling etc. All true statements.

Why? Too hard to learn? Too expensive? Too much better than any other possible title? More details might generate a discussion that prevents you from making a mistake in leaving or buying title after title that never is as good as Adobe. Or, we might find the Cadillac software isn't worth your time and payment and a cheaper and less complex solution is the better solution.

But, "ready to ditch" will only attract the Adobe phobes and similar knuckle-draggers to tee-off on the market leader. Hopefully, that wasn't what you wanted in the form of help.

And more to the point why should anyone else care?

If you'd bother reading the replies of a now 12-page thread, note the OP was actually a technical issue, since resolved. If no one cared, there'd be no solution.

Glad the OP's issue got resolved, but it was raised under a ridiculously poor and piqued title, and could only be actually identified after some "cross examination," which was the point of my comment. But I am happy to see the UHH community look behind the title and be so patient and caring.

No need for industrial strength. I'm an avid amateur and probably edit an average of 10 files per week.

You might look into Corel Paint Shop Pro - Ultimate.
I have found that it is a wonderful piece of software.
It get's done what I need and not too hard to learn.

There are many free programs that can adjust exposure, sharpness, and other basic attributes. You can also buy others that can (maybe) do more.

Every one has strengths and weaknesses. Some weaknesses are not being able to explain things, as in this case. I'm sure you have a weakness, or maybe more than one. The cross examination got his problem fixed and he might even have learned something.

Another example of a thread that would benefit from a change in labelling for old threads.

It would be nice if UHH would write the initial post date in red, maybe bold, for threads over a month old, or maybe for long threads with more than two weeks between adjacent posts.

It would be nice if people would read through the posts before making a response. More than likely it would save them a lot of typing because the original post has been addressed.

That appears to be against human nature. Usually someone sees the original post and wants to insert their two farthings without spending another 10-15 minutes reading through everyone else's comments.

The month-5 contributors are always the most helpful UHH community members when they only get as far as the first post of an 12-page thread...
