I left the house on a mission to pickup a used and tested cylinder Head for an Allis Chalmers diesel tractor, the cost to repair the cracks in the old one was more than a used head , new ? no longer available.
Everything going great then I missed a turn and lost about an hour getting back on course.
The Used tractor parts place is near Truman Reservoir in Clinton Mo.Made the pick up ate some lunch the Headed to The Harry S Truman Dam got there and the road across the dam was closed, so I went down below the dam took a couple of shots and headed home.
The temp was 99°f and 90% humidity, I didn't feel like messing around Any longer
Made one stop on the road to get another bottle of water out of the back and the took a couple of shots of the road and the clouds.

I hope you cooled down eventually. Thanks for sharing, Frank.
Nice shots—hope you get the AC fixed. I have a D17 that needs some serious help.

Thank you Mike
I was never out of the car from more than Five minutes except while unloading & loading the parts.
But I would have liked to shoot more.
Later this fall Sharon and I might make a trip down there, just for pleasure.

Terrific shots, Frank. Gee. Isn't it amazing. Just because Truman was from Missouri, is considered to be one of our better presidents and, as a senator, had a lot to do with building the state's road system, they actually named a dam after him. Good for Missouri.
Lovely photographs Frank. I don't blame you for not staying out of the car too long with temperatures like that.
