26th August was a cloudy day.
I would put #1 on my wall, John!
Great cloud shots I also like taking cloud shots,
Good morning John, I took your third image to NIK SilverEfex to see what I could do with it. I used the "Low Key 2" preset. Then back to Photoshop to Dodge the foreground a little.

To me, it looks like the kind of day when I would enjoy sitting on that foreground and watching the world blow by 🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤

Impressive clouds floating by, looking harmless until that moment they seemed to dump everything instantly.
I will be doing some reworks on these (and maybe some monochromes) but any comments on the images or the editing most welcome.
In the first two I've cropped from the base to give more emphasis to the clouds, in the third it's the full frame taken from a local Nature rerserve overlooking the Oxford Plain showing the motorway to Birmingham.
Looking like they're bearing great quantities of rain, so I guess that's why your beautiful countryside is so lush and verdant 💚💚💚💚💚
Beauties! They beg for monochrome!

As I started scrolling down I first thought Ah more B&W then I saw the cornfield and wow they're colour what amazing clouds! Did it rain? Thanks Mate for sharing.
Dramatic images. Very nice.

In agreement.

As I said earlier, I've taken note of the many comments and made (hopefully) improvements to all three. I might get around to some monochromes later, but my inefficient pp method says I should take a rest.
In all three I've tried to address the dull landscape sections with the Dodge Brush and manipulating selections. Particularly like no.3 (Aston Rowant) as I've managed to show the rain falling on left horizon. I watched that coming over the fields to the barns and then beat a timely retreat to the car.
These three editions have all been entered in a just for fun local newspaper competition.
